A ski day at Solitude, Utah, turned bizarre for Salt Lake City scientist Seth Cameron last March when he squirted out of a stand of trees and was nearly run over by what he thought was a grooming machine: “I looked to my right and was shocked to see this enormous, top-heavy machine bearing down on me,” recalls Cameron, 33. “The thing was whining loudly and teetering, with black smoke pouring out and a dwarflike guy in the middle driving it. Some patrol nearby were waving their arms frantically.”
Cameron skied over to the patrollers, scratched his head a moment, and asked, “Um, what is it?”
“It’s the Grinch’s sleigh,” they whispered.
Universal Studios, it turns out, was filming for last fall’s The Grinch.
