When O’Neill-sponsored freeskier Greg Tuffelmire spotted a British tourist (botom photo) wearing an ’80s vintage O’Neill one-piece, he just had to have it. He offered to swap his own outfit and the pasty Brit didn’t hesitate, stripping down to his tighty-whities under the chairlift. “It was kind of nasty,” Tuffelmire recalls. Half an hour later, Tuffelmire (above right) won Whistler-Blackcomb’s World Ski Invitational Superpipe comp by sticking a 1260 and laying down a worm turn.
