Halloween Opening Days

Utah’s Solitude and Colorado’s Wolf Creek open October 31. As the first resort in Utah to open, Solitude offers one lift to season passholders, while Wolf Creek opens three.

This fall has seen an unprecedented early-season snowfall. And ski resorts around the country are responding with earlier than expected opening days. Saturday, October 31, Solitude, in Utah’s Big Cottonwood Canyon, will open Link Lift to access Easy Street with snow the full width of the run for season passholders only. Skiing will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and then reopen November 6 for the general public with two lifts. Season passholders must print out a voucher from www.skisolitude.com/index.phpto ski this Saturday. Full season passes for adults cost $999.

 Reporting eight inches of new snow overnight and 46 inches reported for this season, Wolf Creek just announced its Halloween opening. The Nova, Treasure, and Bonanza lifts will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Adult lift tickets cost $31 and $18 for youngsters.
