S.A.F.E. A.S. Clinics, a women’s tailored avalanche awareness and safety clinic has begun their fifth season of clinics this December and announced their first co-ed clinic.

None

Founded by a stacked line up of pro skier’s Elyse Saugstad, Jackie Paaso, Michelle Parker, Ingrid Backstrom, Lel Tone and Sherry McConkey, the SAFE AS clinics were created for women of all backcountry experience levels with the intention to foster an open, welcoming and enthusiastic enviornment to encourage communication and participation in the backcountry.

This season the team of founders will be joined by guest instructors like pro snowboarder Robin Van Gyn and Kimmy Fasani and even a dude pro skier Cody Townsend (you know Elyse’s husband who is also just okay at skiing).

While the first three events have already passed, having happened on December 10th, 11th and 12th, there are still two clinics remaining. One at Crystal Mountain in Washington on December 17th and the other at Stevens Pass in Washington on December 18th.

You can find more information or sign up for one of the remaining clinics here.
