April 10, 2007
MONTPELIER, VT – (News Release) – Many Vermont resorts received more than 3 feet of snow during the past week, resulting in fabulous spring conditions and deep snow base depths for skiing and riding. Jay Peak Resort, Killington Resort, Okemo Mountain Resort, Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Stowe Mountain Resort, and Sugarbush Resort are still open and more snow is in the forecast for this week. Okemo Mountain Resort and Smuggler’s Notch Resort are scheduled to close at the end of the day on April 15.

“There is no reason to put away your skis and snowboards yet since many Vermont resorts are still open with excellent conditions and fun-filled spring events,” said Tori Ossola, Vice President of Ski Vermont, the state’s ski areas association. “This season started slow, but gained momentum and definitely will finish strong.”
