Testers put this boot on Easy Street. They once again found it easy on-and-off, easy fitting (zero hot spots), easy to get buckled into. And then, most importantly, easy to shred in any terrain and snow conditions. It’s warm and it’s cushy. The stance angles are a bit upright but solid, relaxed enough for those who just want to fly on auto-pilot. The Memory Fit custom molding shell technology fully personalizes what is already a problem-free fit. There’s nothing not to like so long as you’ve got a meaty enough foot to fill it up. This is a decidedly roomy medium. Which is awesome for just about everybody and why this boot is so popular. To take full advantage of the Memory Fit molding technology you’ll need to have a pretty thick foot as well. Our Memory Fit tests were all successful-but there’s just not much need to mess with the Hawx fit unless you feel the shell hard against the foot somewhere (which virtually none of us did).

Behind the Scenes of Our 2023 SKI Test

Testing skis and winter gear is hard work (just ask our boot testers)—but someone's gotta do it.
