One thing Goode, which got its start building carbon-fiber water skis, has always known how to do is build a super light sk So for backcountry skiers, this company should be on the radar. The Harmonic is Goode’s narrowest women’s backcountry model, with a waist-width of 82 mm. It has the same sidecut as the Opus, with just enough girth to be ideal for spring corn cycles, but its core is 25 percent lighter. The core is made from a special foam stitched with Kevlar, which aims to give it the responsiveness and performance usually found in wood-core skis. A carbon-fiber torsion-box construction should give it plenty of snap.
