DONNELLY, Idaho (Oct. 6, 2005) — The first snow fell earlier this week on Idaho’s Tamarack Resort – 8 at the Canoe Ridge Summit! Opening Day is scheduled for November 23 (weather permitting).

Skiers and riders have less than a month left to get their hands on a Tamarack Resort 05-06 season pass at the pre-season/fall rates. Pass holders are a select group with guaranteed mountain access for all seasons, including the resort’s expanded vertical offerings for the winter ski and ride season through May 2006.

A season pass at Tamarack Resort guarantees the holder a place on a mountain where only 2,000 skiers are allowed per day, a policy that gives everyone lots of room to ski and ride. It also entitles pass holders to a 50 percent discount on Nordic skiing and discounts on day passes, lodging and resort shuttle service.

Expanded terrain is on tap for the ’05-’06 season and includes a total of 840 skiable acres, 35 groomed alpine runs, two new lifts, doubling of backcountry terrain, expanded alpine snowmaking, new snowmaking on 5K of the 30K of Nordic trails, the opening of the Members Lodge & Spa, and expanded lodging options in resort built ski-in/ski-out cottages and chalets.

Tamarack Resort has also announced its day pass pricing for the winter season, which for the first time includes half-day pricing and early season discounts. Tamarack season passes can be purchased by calling 877-826-7376, online at www.tamarackidaho.com, and in-person at the Resort or Boise Office, located at 960 Broadway Avenue.
