For the third year, SKI Magazine surveyed its readers to select the 60 finest ski shops in North America. New this season are awards for one National and five Regional Shops of the Year. Readers ranked shops based on six criteria: staff expertise, selection, value, backshop services, bootfitting and innovative programs. More than 1,200 storefronts were rated on a scale of 1 to 5 by more than 2,000 readers (who were automatically entered in a raffle for two pairs of Völkl Motion Series skis). Congratulations to Surefoot of Park City, Utah, which readers chose as SKI’s National Shop of the Year. Surefoot specializes in boot sales and fitting and has 23 locations.
