WHO?

Any woman stuck on a plateau. Skiers at the three-day Vail clinic varied from novice to advanced. Everyone benefitted from the demoing process and tailored instruction.

WHAT?

Jeannie and Tom annually host more than a dozen two- and three-day clinics, as well as a half-dozen on-snow demos. The latter are just women’s gear demo days and don’t include instruction, which makes them quite affordable. Even better, when such demo days are sponsored by ski area hosts, they’re free!

WHEN & WHERE?

Jeannie and Tom’s circuit takes them from resorts in New York and Michigan to as far west as Montana, Idaho and Colorado. The three-day Vail clinic is notable because of the custom bootfitting session at Kenny’s Double Diamond, which is annually voted by SKI readers as one of the top ski shops in the country. THE BOTTOM LINE

Clinic prices vary by location. In Michigan, where the resorts provide Jeannie with the space, and food costs are not included in the clinic price, two-day clinics run $180. In Vail, where the clinic is hosted by Kenny’s Double Diamond, which has to rent out slopeside meeting space and provides three meals per day, the cost is $750.
