Dec. 6: Mogul skier home from Tignes for knee surgery.PARK CITY, Utah (AP) – Olympic moguls skier Hannah Hardaway, who injured her right knee during World Cup training in France, will undergo surgery next week and will be out for the season, the U.S. Ski Team said Thursday night.

Hardaway, 23, Moultonborough, N.H., was training Saturday in Tignes, France, for the opening moguls event of the World Cup season Sunday when she injured her knee. She was in the middle of a run when she hit a mogul and her knee hyper-extended.

She flew home Monday night, was examined by team surgeon Dr. Lonnie Paulos and is resting at her Park City home.

“It’s such a bummer,” she said Thursday night. “Everything felt great, but what can you do? … I hope I get a good scar.”
