Arizona Snowbowl, a small resort just seven miles from Flagstaff and about two hours from Phoenix, is lauded for its family-friendly vibe, reasonable prices, easy access, and lovely views out over the San Francisco Peaks. That’s not to say you can’t find a good challenge; the hike-to terrain from the Agassiz lift into Upper Bowl rewards skiers with wide-open double-black bowl skiing and jaw-dropping vistas into the desert, to boot.
