LAKE TAHOE, CA – March 12, 2009 –

Bear Naked, the natural foods innovator and maker of all-natural granolas and trail mixes, will be setting up tents at Tahoe ski resorts throughout the remainder of March to give skiers, snowboarders and local residents a chance to try free samples of Bear Naked foods:

– March 14-15, Mount Rose Ski Tahoe

– March 21-22, Squaw Valley

– March 28-29, Alpine Meadows

Resort visitors can stop by the Bear Naked tents set up on-location to try all-natural, minimally processed granolas and trail mixes that have no hydrogenated oils, no refined sugars or artificial ingredients. The foods come in re-sealable, portable packages, making them easy to bring along on the chairlift.

Additionally, Bear Naked has recently partnered with TerraCycle, the eco company famous for repurposing waste into usable items, to reduce the amount of waste Bear Naked packaging adds to the environment. Bear Naked packaging can be sent into TerraCycle, who will repurpose the used packaging into unique, upcycled accessories (umbrellas, shower curtains, etc) to be sold at major retailers – both reducing the amount of waste from Bear Naked packaging and the amount of raw materials needed to make these accessories.
