For the 2004 Monterosa Photo Challenge (March 14-21 at Alagna, Gressoney, and Champo-Luc, Italy), SKIING Magazine and Davenport Mountain Sports invited four of the world’s leading ski photographers and their athletes of choice to compete in the first-ever digital photo contest. Over the course of a week, each team explored the Alps around Gressoney, Champo-Luc, and Alagne, capturing the best images in five different categories: lifestyle, powder, air, big mountain line, and creative angle. The total prize money for the event was 8,000 Euros, which was contributed by Monterosa Ski.
