Nederland, CO, Jan. 4, 2001–Eldora Mountain Resort, CO goes into the New Year with several improvements aimed at helping beginner skiers and snowboarders have the best time possible. A new chairlift, children’s ski programs, and the return of Women’s Wednesday programs all contribute to Eldora’s drive to offer a positive experience for all ages and abilities.

A new triple chairlift dubbed EZ services Littlehawk Mountain, excellent terrain for families and those learning to ski. This additional lift should also reduce liftlines at Caribou and Sundance lifts, and EZ access Tykes Terrain Park just for kids.

Children’s ski programs supervised by professional instructors start up soon at Eldora and some are already sold-out. The Trek program lasts for either six or twelve weeks every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for downhill skiing (ages 4-12), cross-country skiing (ages 6-12), and snowboarding (ages 7-12) beginning Jan. 7, 2001. The Saturday programs are sold-out. A second six-week session begins Feb. 11, 2001.

The six-week alpine and snowboard Trek programs cost $295 and the 12-week session costs $500 and includes a season pass. The Saturday only Nordic program costs $150.

Eldorables, a five-week alpine program for ages four to six meets consecutive Mondays, Tuesdays, or Fridays from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and costs $150. The first session is sold out, but the second session beginning Feb. 12, 2001 is still open.

Ski equipment rentals for the above children’s programs cost $25 for each session.

Women’s Wednesday is a 6-week program offering weekly downhill skiing ($375), snowboarding ($375), telemark ($375), and Nordic clinics ($225). Programs begin on Jan. 9 or Jan. 10, 2001 and include breakfast, lunch, four hours of on-slope instruction, and a six-week season pass. All ability levels are welcome and age ranges from mid-20’s to 60-and-over.

A new three-week Women’s Wednesday begins this year on Feb. 27 or Feb. 28, 2001 and costs $189 for alpine skiing and $120 for Nordic sessions.
