Jiminy Peak just announced that they are launching a new ticket option for those skiers or boarders who want an alternative to the usual—i.e., expensive—pass options.
With daily lift tickets running anywhere from $75 to more than $200 per day, skiing has become an increasingly financially demanding sport. Skiers are figuring out that if they are planning on heading to the mountain more than five or six days a winter, then a season pass is the best option for enjoying the lowest lift ticket prices per day. But this entails anywhere from around a five hundred to thousand dollar upfront investment and may not be a good fit for the casual skier or snowboarder who only wants to go a handful of times a season.

In an effort to bring skiing to a wider market while simultaneously dispelling the notion that the sport is excessively expensive, Jiminy Peak leading the way by offering a seven-hour night skiing lift ticket for only $19 on three Monday nights this month. On Monday, January 21 and on January 28, skiing will be available from 3 P.M. to 10 P.M. on the resort’s 21 lighted trails.

This western Massachusetts resort is providing an alternative option for the casual skier or rider who wants to spend a few hours on the slopes without breaking the bank. The $19 Monday evening ticket gives skiers the freedom to hit the slopes after office hours, helping fit skiing and riding into their busy schedules. The opportunity to ski or ride at twilight also means less crowds and minimal time spent waiting in line.
