GETTING THERE Big Bear Mountain Resorts are approximately 100 miles from Los Angeles. >From L.A.: Take I-10 East to 30 North to Highway 330 East, which turns into Highway 18. Follow Highway 18 east and turn right across the Big Bear Lake dam. Stay on Big Bear Boulevard through Big Bear Village. For Snow Summit: Turn right on Summit Boulevard. For Bear Mountain: Turn right on Moonridge Road. On holidays or weekends, try I-10 to Highway 38—a bit longer, but faster in traffic.
