Lodging
The Grand Summit Resort Hotel’s 356 rooms range from hotel-style to roomy condos. The adjacent Sundial Lodge is quieter and more intimate. At the Westgate Park City, be sure your condo is far from the construction zone. All three facilities are slopeside.
Dining
The “New West” cuisine and wine list at the Westgate Grill are excellent and a bargain to boot (435-655-2260). In nearby Park City try savory fusion at Wahso (435-615-0300) or authentic family-style Mexican at La Casita (435-645-9585).
Aprés-Ski
Locals go to Smokies Smokehouse for barbecue, beer and the sundeck. Doc’s at the Gondola is popular with couples and conventioneers. For nightlife, head to downtown Park City for live acts at Harry O’s or conversation in an elegant atmosphere at Easy Street’s Bar Boheme.
Don’t Miss
A leisurely white-tablecloth lunch at midmountain Lookout Cabin, where Chef Tyler Stokes changes his innovative menu five times a year.
