Conveniently located 65 minutes from Queenstown on the South Island of New Zealand, Cardrona Alpine Resort is renowned for its dry snow and a reliable season that runs from late June until early October. Three basins covering 790 acres offer wide-open spaces and a variety of terrain. The first basin, home to the resort’s main facilities, offers excellent terrain for beginners and features two new Magic Carpet rides. Arcadia, the middle basin, hosts the New Zealand Freeskiing Championships and has challenging steeps. The third basin dubbed “Captain’s” suits intermediates with its wide open rolling terrain.
