When white gives way to green, stow your skis, break out your other sticks and head to The Stratton Mountain Country Club. A six-year stop on the LPGA Tour, the club offers three nine-hole courses with pitched and narrow fairways, making the renowned Stratton Golf School seem conspicuously well-placed. If you’re more inclined to swing a racket than a club, the Gunterman Tennis School will improve your game. Bonus: Parents enrolled in either the golf and tennis school can enroll their kids (ages 4-12) in the KidsKamp program for free.

If you’re strictly after a dose of nature, the resident Appalachian and Long trails serve up endless hiking, biking and horseback riding opportunities. Go the distance or take the gondola to the top of the hill and hike a light mile to the firetower to enjoy panoramic views of the Green Mountains. If the teens would rather not join you, drop them off at the climbing wall, the skate park or the indoor pool at the Sports Center.

When you’ve had enough exercise, drive 17 miles to the retail outlets in Manchester and exercise your spending skills. You can always take to the green of your choice again tomorrow. Fore!

DON’T MISS The Antique and Classic Car Show, July 27-29, with evening activities, a village festival, live music and a beer garden.

BEST DEAL For $80 per day, per person (based on double occupancy), The Liftline Lodge offers lodging, a round of golf, club storage and cleaning and use of the spa. Call 800-787-2886, or visit www.stratton.com.
