The Best Runs at Stowe

Infamous ”Front Four” trails like Goat and Liftline may kick your butt, so we’ll give you some other options, just in case.

Best Cruiser: Main Street. This blue square is approachable and skier-friendly, a super-wide, carve-able groomer with views of the Green Mountains in all directions.

Best Bumps: National. Cut in 1952, with northeastern exposure and super-wide steeps, this thigh-burner holds snow long into the spring. Perfect for the hardcore powder-whore seeking a challenge.

Best Glades: National Glades. Closed for re-vegetation years ago, this trail reopened with lots of healthy spruce trees dotting the trail. If you love woods, and fancy yourself an expert, brave the bumps on this tree-canopied wonder.

Best Adventure
: Goat. Opt for the Goat trail off the FourRunner. Here you’ll find 36 degrees of moguls on a narrow, winding trail full of ledges, boulders, and streams. Near the bottom get ready for the double fall line, where experts meet their match.

Best Steeps: Waterfall. Stowe keeps it short and steep with this under-gondola chute. Late winter thaw? Watch out, they named it Waterfall for a reason.
