As simple as the name sounds, The Shed is an après ski bar and grill that satisfies ski bums and chic resort-goers alike. Order a “Shed Ski of Beer” sampler, and you will be served a short wooden ski that holds six four ounce glasses filled with a selection of The Shed’s freshly brewed ales ($8.95). Be sure to try the Shed Mountain Ale named #1 in North America by Skiing Magazine. Eat fresh popcorn at the bar while locals swap backcountry stories or relax with friends and family in The Vermont Room for cozy fireside dining. Start off with the award winning Shed Burger, or try one of their traditional Shed favorites, Smoked BBQ Ribs, Supreme Nachos, and Shepherd’s Pie. The dining selection doesn’t claim to be anything other than reliably casual, but the beers are truly something to brag about. Pub specials Monday thru Friday make dining affordable and enjoyable, while Wednesday night live music is a perfect midweek pick me up.With original Vermont barn board, ski sticker, and Mardi Gras bead décor, the Shed feels like a ski lodge after hours. But what’s wrong with that?
