Brighton 12:00pm-12:20pm Vertical: 1,700 feet
Our first ski area in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton is located just a few miles from its neighbor Solitude. We rode up Millicent lift to the trail Backbone. The sun started to take its toll on the snow, as it baked the corn, making it sticky and slow in spots.
Backbone was a great trail with lots of rollers that acted like speed bumps and threw us in the air when we weren’t careful. We did our best downhill-racer impressions and hit the rollers at mach speed, trying to fly as far as we could without losing it.
