3rd Annual Mountain Dew Spring Splash at Cranmore

North Conway, NH – Officials at Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, NHannounced today they will host the 3rd annual Mountain Dew Spring Splash onSunday, March 30th, 2003. Partnering with Mountain Dew, the resort willcreate a large, rectangular pool at the base of the North Slope and willfill it with water and Mountain Dew for a bright green visual sensation.Participants are encouraged to ski or ride down the North Slope and skimover the entire length of the pool without falling over or dropping in.

The event is open to all ages and is FREE to everyone with a lift ticket orseason pass. Registration for the event will take place at Cranmore’s TheEating House from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m. Those under 18 years old will require asigned waiver from a parent or guardian in order to participate.

Celebrity judges from the North Conway community will be casting their votesfor winners of a variety of awards. Medals will be awarded in the followingfive separate categories:
Best overall costume
Best Mountain Dew-related costume
Biggest air
Biggest splash
Driest “Full-Skim” competitor
In addition to the awards listed above, everyone who participates willautomatically be entered into a drawing to win fun prizes from Mountain Dewand Cranmore Mountain Resort.

Event Schedule:
11 a.m. — 1 p.m. – Registration in the Eating House
1 p.m. — 3 p.m. – Competition takes place at the base of the North Slope infront of the Eating House deck.
3:15 p.m. – Awards at the base of the North Slope.

Cranmore will close for skiing and riding at the conclusion of the day March30th, 2003 and plans to re-open for the 2003/2004 season in November, 2003.The Cranmore Family Fitness Center, also located on site, remains open yearround offering a variety of health-oriented activities and programs for theentire family.

“We’ve been blessed with a good base of snow this season plus coldtemperatures, so our slopes will be a joy right up until closing day,”stated Kathy Bennett, Cranmore’s Marketing Director, “The sweet conditions,plus our $19 all ages lift pass for the month of March, make for a greatexcuse to squeeze in a few last days of skiing and riding this season. Wehope families will come out with the kids for one more day of sunshine andfun at Cranmore.”

Cranmore’s tubing center will also be open one last weekend, Friday March 28from 10 a.m. — 9 p.m., Saturday, March 29 from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m. and Sunday,March 30 from 10 a.m. — 4 p.m.

Cranmore Mountain Resort is one of six resorts owned by Booth Creek SkiHolding, Inc. of Vail, Colorado. In addition to Cranmore Mountain Resort,Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley are also located in New Hampshire, whileSierra at Tahoe and Northstar at Tahoe are located in California and TheSummit at Snoqualmie is located in Washington state.
