Beaver Creek, Colo. – Aug. 30, 2005 – Get a taste of Munich and rock to the sounds of Eddie Money in Beaver Creek this weekend with the resort’s eighth annual Oktoberfest, Sept. 3-4, 2005. The event takes place on the Beaver Creek Plaza, and admission to all events and activities is free. In addition, trail runners can tackle the First Annual Beaver Creek Half Marathon, Sunday, Sept. 4.

11 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Food booths and Beer Garden on Beaver Creek Plaza. Indulge with specialty foods prepared by Beaver Creek restaurants including Beaver Creek Chophouse, Grouse Mountain Grill, Toscanini, Blue Moose and more. Food and beverages available for purchase.
11 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Complimentary kids’ activities include an interactive children’s theatre and kid’s stage, indoor Children’s Museum and outdoor Kids’ Fun Zone featuring an Alpenhorn Contest for kids at 3 p.m.
4 p.m.
The Bavarian Costume Contest on the plaza stage offers divisions for men, women, boys and girls. Contestants will be judged on authenticity and completeness of costume (hat, shoes, socks, etc.). Winners will be announced at the Beer Garden at approximately 4:20 p.m.
12:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Bon Appetit culinary demonstrations at the state-of-the-art demo kitchen located on Beaver Creek Plaza. Free admission and tastings from Beaver Creek chefs:

New this year, USraceseries.com brings its popular US Half Marathon to Beaver Creek on Sunday, Sept. 4. Presented by US Race Series and Beaver Creek Resort, this race features a scenic 13.1 miles trail course starting at 9 a.m. at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain traversing to Bachelor Gulch and back. Individual and two-person relay teams can still register online at www.runbc.com. Each runner will receive a technical running shirt and commemorative beer stein and beer ticket for Beaver Creek Oktoberfest following the race and awards ceremony.
