Helen Olsson is the author of The Down & Dirty Guide to Camping with Kids and the editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Peak magazine. Olsson started her career as a copy editor in the mid ’90s at Skiing Magazine, making her way through the ranks to executive editor. During her decade tenure at Skiing, she was named Winner of the Cana-dian Tourism’s Northern Lights Journalism Award for magazine writing and a finalist in the Women’s Sports Foundation Sports Journalism Awards. She has also served as editor-in-chief of the Snow Show Daily and Vail Resorts’ Epic Life magazine, as well as managing editor of the Outdoor Retailer Daily. Olsson’s stories have appeared in the New York Times, Aspen Magazine, SKI Magazine, Big Sky Life, Jackson Hole Magazine, Skiing History, Ski Racing Media, Elevation Outdoors, and more. She also blogs at www.maddogmom.com. She lives with her husband and three kids in Boulder, Colorado.
