Boulder, CO, Oct. 29, 2001–Spyder Active Sports has struck a deal with the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders to outfit the squad for the 2001-02 NFL season. The uniforms will be worn during football games with snowy, inclement weather, or with temperatures under 20 degrees. The cheerleaders will also be outfitted in the skiwear for promotional events at ski resorts.

Teresa Schroeder, Denver Broncos director of cheerleaders, said her team chose Spyder as an outfitter because of the apparel’s beautiful color hue and the local connection. “The white ski outfit really stands out on the field and makes it very easy to incorporate the Broncos logo on the outfit. The jacket has a feminine cut and the fur around the collar gives the uniform a very glamorous look,” Schroeder said.

The team will wear Spyder’s Diamond ski jackets and Pearl pants, both in white. The Diamond jacket has a removable faux fur trim around its hood.

This is the first season Spyder has affiliated with a cheerleading squad. Spyder is an official supplier to the 2002 US Olympic Alpine Ski Team.
