Steamboat Springs, CO, Jan. 10–Steamboat is still celebrating the new millennium with tons of champagne-powder that is. Steamboat boasts the deepest base in Colorado of 52 inches and has 99 percent of their terrain open.
Since the New Year, almost five feet of the fluffy white stuff has blanketed the resort–adding to their total snowfall of 13-and-a-half feet. “With all the new snow, plus the more than six feet that fell in December, we are enjoying perhaps the best conditions in the country,” said Rod Hanna, VP of Marketing at Steamboat Resort.
Steamboat can never get too much of a good thing: They have received 22 inches in the past 30 hours and snow is in the forecast for the next two days. Road trip anyone?
