Guests of Copper have the opportunity to play two golf courses during their stay, one of them, Colorado’s highest, and the other, “Colorado’s Best. At Copper Creek, the nation’s highest championship golf course, golfers get an ego boost at 9,700 feet in elevation as their ball travels noticeably farther through the narrow and challenging alpine track. The award-winning Raven at Three Peaks, located a few miles from the resort, provides a golf experience like no other with pristine greens, breathtaking panoramas and unparalleled guest service making each golfer feel like a member for the day.
Copper Creek – Copper Mountain, CO.
Located at the base of Copper Mountain, Copper Creek Golf Club is a unique course for golfers of all abilities. Experienced and novices alike will enjoy the Pete and Perry Dye, 6,057 yard, par 70 course as it stretches through many of the resort’s usually snow covered ski and snowboard trails. The course is known for its tight fairways that wind through the mountain valley wetlands running next to Ten Mile Creek. Additionally, Copper Creek is the most affordable course in Summit County, making it possible for guests to enjoy a mountain golf experience at a reasonable price. Visit the golf shop in the East Village to be outfitted in the latest golf apparel or grab a drink and a bite to eat at JJ’s Rocky Mountain Tavern, open seven days a week. Copper Creek is scheduled to open for play May 28, 2004 and is scheduled to close early fall.
The Raven at Three Peaks – Silverthorne, CO.
The epitome of what mountain golf should be, ‘The Raven at Three Peaks’ lives up to every award and praise it has earned as it embarks on its fourth full season of operation. As part of Intrawest Golf’s premier brand, Raven Golf, Three Peaks has earned countless accolades including being named Colorado’s #1 Mountain Golf Course for the past two years by Colorado Avid Golfer Magazine, and recognized as a “National Environmental Leader in Golf by the Golf Course Superintendents’ Association of America and Golf Digest.
From the moment golfers arrive at ‘The Raven’ they are greeted by guest service staff ready to cater to their every golf need. The Raven’s 7,413 yard Tom Lehman and Hurdzan/Fry track allows golfers to be immersed in beautiful scenery including the panoramic Gore Mountain Range. The course also sends players through several habitat types where golfers may encounter alpine wildlife such as moose, elk, osprey and fox. The Raven opened for play April 22, 2004 and is scheduled to close late fall.
