WINTER PARK/COPPER MOUNTAIN, CO January 11, 2005 – Winter Park and Copper Mountain Resorts will each donate $5,000 to the Red Cross Tsunami Relief Fund on Friday, Jan. 14 adding to Intrawest’s $5,000 contribution for a grand total of $15,000.

“We feel it’s very important to do our part and help the hundreds of thousands devastated by the Tsunami in South East Asia,” says Gary DeFrange, Vice President and General Manager of Winter Park Resort.

In addition, Red Cross volunteers will be taking donations from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Copper, Winter Park and Mary Jane mountains. Copper donation locations will be at Jack’s Bar and Grill in The Village at Copper and at the Super Bee Lift in the East Village. Winter Park visitors can donate in front of the West Portal Food Court, while Mary Jane riders can visit the Jane Cafeteria.

“We have an opportunity to further our relief efforts by stationing Red Cross volunteers at our resorts,” said Steve Paccagnan, Vice President and General Manager of Copper Mountain Resort. “We’re calling all those interested in contributing, guest and employees, to come by and say ‘hi,’ find out what’s new with the relief efforts and help out with a donation.”
