Deer Valley Offers Mountain Biking Clinic This Weekend

Deer Valley, UT June 23, 2004 – Deer Valley Resort will be offering 1 ½ hour complimentary beginner mountain biking clinics on Saturday, June 26, 2004. The clinics will begin at the Snow Park Lodge at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. Clinics are available for adults 18+ and space is limited. A $10 bike rental will be offered for those participating in the clinic. After the clinic participants can enjoy exploring Deer Valley’s extensive trail system for a special lift ticket rate of $10 and a special $10 bike rental for the remainder of the day.
Deer Valley’s lift-served mountain biking is available for the first time ever the at Snow Park Lodge via the Silver Lake Express chairlift and from the Silver LakeLodge at mid-mountain via the Sterling chairlift. Bikers and their bikes are transported to Silver Lake Village and the top of Bald and Bald Eagle Mountains where they can choose from an array of single- and double-track trails. Experienced bikers may choose one of our multi-use trails to ride up and bypass the lift.
Deer Valley’s Bike Rental Shop offers bike rentals, repairs and essential equipment for the rider. Deer Valley operates its own Mountain Bike School, offering mountain tours and trail riding clinics. The Sterling and Silver Lake Express chairlifts also transport hikers and sightseers up the mountain. At the top, hikers may leave the lift and explore over 20 miles of pristine multi-use trails, including a paved walking path to the Scenic Overlook. After exploring the area, they may either reboard the lift to return to the base or walk down one of the designated hiking trails.
