Kranjska Gora, Slovenia Dec. 21 (AP)–Didier Plaschy of Switzerland won a men’s slalom today, his second World Cup victory of the season.

Plaschy twisted his way around the 64 gates down the Podkoren course in a two-run combined time of 1 minute, 40.39 seconds. He edged Austria’s Benjamin Raich, who finished 0.09 seconds back.

Raich’s teammate, Thomas Stangassinger, was third in 1:41.13.

The overall World Cup leader, Hermann Maier of Austria, usually skips slaloms and did not race.
