Snowbird, UT, Oct. 13, 2000–Over the past week, lake effect snowstorms from Great Salt Lake, UT, billowed up Little Cottonwood Canyon and dropped over six inches of snow on Snowbird Mountain Ski and Summer Resort. To capitalize on nature’s benevolence toward Snowbird the resort will be hosting the annual Pray for Snow Day on Saturday, Oct. 14. Conditions allowing, the resort plans to open their terrain on Nov. 18.
