Denver, CO Sept. 17, 2003–With Fall just a few days away, skiers and riders are starting to stow their golf clubs and dust off their boards. However, in some mountainous regions of North America, Old Man winter is already knocking on the door. In the past week, the high country of Colorado, Utah and British Columbia has received significant snowfall. Resorts from Aspen, CO, to Snowbird, UT, to Whistler/Blackcomb, B.C., have received more than a foot of snow at the higher elevations making skiers and riders optimistic about the upcoming season. Silverton Mountain, CO, even cranked up their lift after the storm and allowed a few lucky skiers to make some turns.
