Mt. Hood Meadows, OR

Eight conservation groups, including the Oregon Natural Resources Council and Friends of Mount Hood, are suing the U.S. Forest Service and the ski area to stop a master plan development that would include eight new chairlifts, more night skiing, expanded parking and a new mid-mountain restaurant. Groups contend that runoff from the existing parking lot pollutes local streams. The suit is currently pending in Federal Court.
