Mount Snow, VT, Jan. 14, 2002–Skiers and riders at Mount Snow/Haystack are donating books to help promote literacy in Southern Vermont. During the Martin Luther King,Jr. national holiday weekend, January 19-21, Mount Snow will accept new andgently-used books. Mount Snow donates the books to Vermont Adult Learning andVermont Reading Partners, an affiliate of Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc.

In appreciation of their support for Mount Snow’s efforts to promote literacy,book donors are offered a buy-one-get-one-free lift ticket, good for mid-week,non-holiday skiing and riding during the 2002 winter season. Vouchers for thebuy-one-get-one-free lift ticket will be given to guests at ticket sales areas.

Vermont Reading Partners provides free and confidential tutoring servicesenabling adults and families to achieve their goals through increasing theirliteracy skills. The organization’s mission is fulfilled through the supportof volunteer tutors from neighboring communities.
