With its introduction of an all-new line of helmets, Salomon is well on its way to ruling the action-sports world. The lightweight full-shell Mavericks, one of six adult styles from Big S, is a decent first offering, with a solid fit, simple styling, and lots of room for your sponsor’s stickers. It’s best used in colder conditions, though: The venting is, uh, challenged, and the adjustable ear flaps can’t be fully removed. Standards: ASTM, CE.
