Whistler, B.C., May 2–Intrawest announced today it hadhired Mark Hulme as vice president for retail operations in the easternregion. Hulme has 24 years of retail sales experience in all aspects of thebusiness from store design to operations.
He joins Intrawest after havingserved most recently as vice president and general manager with The SportsAuthority where he opened seven stores and maintained the highest level ofservice in those stores from among 200 in the chain. At Intrawest, he willhave responsibility for some 70 eastern retail locations plus more set toopen over the next two years.
In Telluride, Colo., Telluride Ski & Golf Company announced yesterday thatKelly Ladyga was named the company’s communications director. Ladyga, whohas more than 10 years of experience in ski and tourism marketing, willtake charge of a restructured communications department in the newlycreated position.
Ladyga joins the Telluride marketing department afterhaving spent the last two years working at Beaver Creek Resort, Colo.Before that she was director of marketing and communications at theColorado Travel and Tourism Authority and director of communications forColorado Ski Country USA.
