New Year's Eve Bash at High Camp

Squaw Valley, CA – (News Release) – Ring in 2006 from a mountain top—at the New Year’s Eve party at High Camp (el. 8,200′). Rising above every other Tahoe party, this New Year’s Eve bash is sure to make you twist, shout, and kick the New Year off right. With music from Mission Players and partying Squaw Valley style, this New Year’s party is going to go off like fireworks.

Grown out of jam sessions in San Francisco’s Mission District, Mission Players found their core group in early 2001. The band’s songs reflect the deep-rooted music of 70’s soul and funk and are heavily flavored with influences from Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and The Meters. “Our ultimate goal is to produce a high energy live show that makes people need to shake their feet on the dance floor, says Mission Player’s lead vocalist, Mike Mulqueen.

Mission Players have recently shared co-bills with Irvin Mayfield Quintet, Fareed Haque Group, Tea Leaf Green, Robert Walter and members of Galactic. They are currently working on new material for a brand new CD, slated for an early 2006 release.

The Cable Car will begin transporting party-goers at 9 pm and Mission Players will be jamming straight through the New Year.
