WEST DOVER, VT — (News Release – September 28, 2007) – Following the completion of its purchase from American Skiing Company, Peak Resorts wasted little time assessing Mount Snow’s base area facilities, and have pledged to invest in significant upgrades before the start of the 2007-08 season.
Every building in the base area will be impacted by the upgrades, according to Peak Resorts president, Tim Boyd. This includes the Main Base Lodge and its restaurants, the Clocktower and Ski School buildings, and the base lodges located at Carinthia and Sundance.
“Mount Snow is the flagship ski area for Peak Resorts and we want its loyal guests to see our commitment as quickly as possible, says Boyd.
Details on specific renovation are not available at this early stage, but with $2 million committed to the project, Boyd says the improvements will go beyond a fresh coat of paint on the walls.
“We’re speaking with contractors, reviewing materials, and really challenging ourselves to come up with ways to make all base area operations more efficient, says Boyd.
Mount Snow also has a variety of featured lodging packages for the 2007-08 skiing and snowboarding season. In addition to Mount Snow properties, the Mount Snow Central Reservations staff can book guests in a variety of suitable hotels, inns, bed and breakfasts, and condos in the Mount Snow Valley.
