Sugarloaf/USA Celebrates NationalGirls and Women in Sports Day in Maine

CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine (News Release) — In recognition of National Girls and Women inSports Day in Maine, Sugarloaf/USA will once again be offering two specialdeals designed specifically for women. On Saturday, February 1st, Sugarloafis offering free Learn-to-Ski and Learn-to-Ride programs to women 13 yearsof age or older. Women will receive also free rentals to be used with theLearn-to-Ski and Learn-to-Ride programs.

The second promotion is Take Your Daughter to the Slopes Day on Sunday,February 2nd. For $99, guests will receive two tickets, one of which has tobe for a female 13 years of age or older, two clinics, two continentalbreakfast coupons, two coupons for lunch at the Narrow Gauge in the BaseLodge, and a prize for the female guest, to be determined. (The femaleguest does not have to be the daughter of the other guest.) Equipmentrentals are not included.

Additional women’s specials are scheduled throughout the season. Women’sWeek is a 5-day clinic on February 10-14, for skiers of level three abilityand up. This clinic includes a daily five-hour on-snow clinic, videoanalysis, equipment demonstrations, guest speakers, breakfast, lunch, andafternoon tea each day, with a special dinner on the final evening. The costis $654 with a 5-day lift ticket, or $499 without.

Skiers or Riders can also attend a 3-day program on either January 24-26 orMarch 7-9, 2003. On-snow coaching, video analysis, equipment demos, lunchand guest speakers are included with this program. The cost is $365including a 3-day lift ticket, or $269 without. Some restrictions may apply.
