We don’t normally cover cross country skiing here at SKImag.com, but just like most of the USA, we were all jumping up and down when Jessie Diggins crossed the finished line in PyeongChang, South Korea last winter, winning the first ever gold medal for the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team. Needless to say, we were over the moon to see that Diggins, Sophie Caldwell, Simi Hamilton and others are featured in Warren Miller’s Face of Winter, presented by Volkswagen.

For this segment, the Warren Miller Entertainment crew joined the team during “summer” camp in New Zealand. The segment is almost as inspiring as when Diggins crossed the finish line, and is cut in a way that makes cross country skiing beautiful, especially on the big screen.
