After extensive adventures in Europe and Japan, Ski.com Epic Dream Job winner Jackson Lebsack made his way to British Columbia for two stops: One at the massive Whistler Blackcomb, and the other along the famed powder highway of the Canadian Rockies at Fernie Alpine Resort.
Although they are located in the same province, Whistler Blackcomb and Fernie could not be more different in terms of winter vacation experiences. Whistler Blackcomb is massive, with 8,171 acres of skiable terrain, including multiple terrain parks, big mountain experiences, and groomers galore, plus the villages offer some of the craziest nightlife scenes on this side of the Atlantic Ocean.
Fernie Alpine Resort, while still big, offers a much more ski-specific experience, especially for fans of freeride skiing and light, fluffy powder. The scenic views of the Canadian Rockies are sure to take your breath away.
